1. Create awareness- Being more aware of your thoughts and actions enables you to have more control over them. When you recognize what situations cause more stress, it becomes easier to avoid or diffuse them.
2. Listen to your body- Make a note of how your body reacts when faced with stressful situations. Make a list of signs and symptoms of stress will give you time to check in with yourself and pause before you respond.
4. Practice mindfulness- It takes practice to fully participate in the present moment, however, it is a powerful technique for dealing with stressful situations. Engage all your sense to focus on the task at hand.
5. Don't pass judgement, for at least 3 minutes- Do you find yourself judging and assessing everything you experience? Try not to critique or improve everything. When you delay judgment, you create space for gratitude.
